The zombie apocalypse came to PC with some exclusive tools for those who planned ahead. The Dead Island Special Edition on PC features exclusive cover art packaging and packs in The Ripper, a special combination baseball bat and buzz saw weapon that became one of the game's most iconic instruments of undead destruction. On top of that, you get the Bloodbath Arena DLC with four deadly, trap-laden arenas, endless zombie waves in single or co-op multiplayer, full loot and XP carryover to your campaign, and a Sonic Pulse Grenade as a bonus weapon.

This was exclusive to Game stores in the UK and GameStop in the US. Dead Island was a phenomenon at launch. That trailer, the one with the family and the piano music played in reverse, generated hype that most AAA games would envy.
