Jim Power: The Lost Dimension (PS4)
Strictly Limited Games

A cancelled Genesis game and a brand-new NES game, together on one PS4 disc. Retro preservation doesn't get much better than this. Jim Power: The Lost Dimension Limited Edition for PlayStation 4 is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive, individually numbered and limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, with a colorful game manual included.

Jim Power was the quintessential 90s side-scroller. Run, gun, strap on a jetpack, and blast through stages with parallax scrolling that pushed 16-bit hardware to its limits. Chris Huelsbeck's soundtrack elevated every level into something cinematic. The Genesis version should have been a classic but was cancelled right before release. The NES version never existed at all until PIKO Interactive built it from the ground up for this collection.

Now both versions live on a single PS4 disc with four screen filters, three screen types, and quality-of-life features that smooth out the rougher edges without betraying the original spirit. The pixel art still pops. The difficulty still demands respect. The gameplay loop of running, jumping, and shooting through varied stages, from traditional platforming to full shoot 'em up sections, remains as satisfying as it was in the arcade days.

For PS4 collectors who care about disc-based releases in the pre-digital era of this console generation, 1,000 copies is a tight window. This is a clean, focused limited edition without the extra collectibles. Just the game, the manual, and a numbered copy of something genuinely rare. Sometimes that's exactly what the shelf needs.
