A wearable HD camera. In a video game collector's edition. The Call Of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition on Xbox 360 remains one of the most audacious pack-ins the franchise ever attempted. This full 1080p, water-resistant, wide-angle tactical camera was designed after the actual helmet camera featured in the game, and it shipped with three attachments, a 4GB memory card, batteries, and editing software. It was meant to be used, not just displayed.

The rest of the box doesn't slouch either. A SteelBook houses the disc, a paracord strap adds a tactical edge to the unboxing, and the Free Fall bonus map gives you content that standard edition buyers never touched. The season pass for four DLC packs and a bundle of digital extras, including a player pattern, card, background, and the official soundtrack, round out a package that justified its premium tier.

Ghosts launched during the 360's final act, that transitional window when next-gen consoles were already on store shelves but the install base was still massive. Prestige editions from this era occupy a strange collector's sweet spot. They were produced for a huge audience but purchased by a small slice of it. Complete sets with the camera, all attachments, and an untouched SteelBook are increasingly hard to source.

The 360 COD Prestige lineup tells a story of escalation, and Ghosts might be the most hardware-forward chapter. This one earns its place on the shelf through sheer ambition.
