Final Fantasy Premium Package
SquaresoftJapan

The Final Fantasy Premium Package is the Japan-only PS1 box that pairs the original two Famicom Final Fantasy games with hand-crafted Amano-themed miniatures. This Squaresoft prestige set bundles Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II inside a deluxe box wrapped in Yoshitaka Amano artwork, with three character minifigures (Black Mage, Red Mage, and Warrior) representing the original job lineup.

The original Final Fantasy is the game that saved Square from bankruptcy. The job system, the four classes, the introduction of Cid, the moment-by-moment building of what would become a multibillion-yen franchise. Final Fantasy II is the underrated sequel, the first FF with named protagonists and the keyword-conversation system that nobody else has copied. The PS1 versions are the definitive reissue.

The minifigures are the bonus. Black Mage in pointed hat and shadowed face. Red Mage in plumed cap and rapier. Warrior with sword and shield. The original trio cast in physical form, sized for a desk display, painted to Squaresoft's prestige standards. Amano's box art on the outside ties the whole set together into a single piece of Final Fantasy iconography.

Japan exclusive, and one of the true Final Fantasy collector must-haves. The set that opens the door to chasing the rest of the Squaresoft prestige releases, including the Anniversary Package follow-up and the Square Millennium Collection wave that came after.
