Tomb Raider Collector's Edition

A different region, a different spread, and a few extras that make this one worth hunting separately. This Tomb Raider Collector's Edition on Playstation 3 shares DNA with its counterpart but diverges in ways that matter to completionists. You still get the Play Arts Kai Lara Croft figurine, the double-sided island map and poster, and the CD soundtrack.

But this version swaps in a lithographic print, three iron-on badges featuring the game's key icons, and a bundle of DLC that includes Animal Instincts, the Climbing Axe, Fire Arrow, and Weapons Pack. Those iron-on badges are a strange and wonderful relic. Nobody was putting iron-on patches in collector's editions before or since, and that's exactly the kind of oddity that makes regional variants worth chasing.

The lithographic print adds a layer of art-gallery legitimacy to the package, something you can actually frame without feeling like you're explaining yourself to guests. The DLC suite here is also slightly more robust, giving you gameplay tools that the other edition didn't include. For collectors who already own the standard CE, this variant justifies its own shelf space purely on those unique physical items.

The PS3 era rewarded the hunters, the people who knew that the same game could ship with wildly different goodies depending on where you bought it. This is proof of that philosophy, and it's a satisfying find for anyone building a region-complete Tomb Raider archive.
