They put a toy rocket launcher in the box. The Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier Ultimate Edition for Xbox 360 comes in a large cardboard box housing the Signature Edition of the game alongside a toy rocket launcher, a "Ghost" target, and a poster.

Ubisoft's tactical shooter franchise went full near-future in 2012, outfitting the Ghosts with optical camouflage, drone support, and weapon customization deep enough to lose an afternoon in. The multiplayer and co-op modes built on that tactical foundation with a squad-based intensity that rewarded communication over twitch reflexes. Future Soldier was the Ghost Recon series at its most technologically ambitious before the franchise pivoted to open world.

The Ultimate Edition's physical extras lean into the playful side of military collecting. That rocket launcher and Ghost target combination is pure desk toy energy, the kind of thing that makes visitors ask questions and gives you an excuse to talk about the game. The poster rounds out the package with wall-worthy art.

With only dedicated collectors having tracked this one down, the Ultimate Edition represents a specific window in Tom Clancy gaming history, right before the franchise went in a dramatically different direction. The large box format means surviving copies in good condition are inherently scarcer than standard releases. Cardboard and time are not friends.

If your 360 tactical shooter shelf needs a conversation piece, this delivers.
