There's a special kind of magic in a collector's edition that perfectly matches the absurdity of its source material. The South Park: The Stick of Truth Grand Wizard Edition for PlayStation 3 delivers exactly that, bundling one of the funniest RPGs ever made with physical goods that feel ripped straight out of Cartman's imagination.

The Kidrobot Grand Wizard Cartman figurine stands 6 inches tall and carries the kind of vinyl craftsmanship Kidrobot is known for. This isn't some cheap pack-in figure. It's a proper designer collectible that happens to depict a ten-year-old in a wizard hat who thinks he controls the universe. The crossover appeal between gaming collectors and vinyl toy enthusiasts gives this piece real staying power. Cartman's hand-drawn map of the South Park Kingdom is gloriously crude, looking exactly like something taped to a bedroom wall in the show. It's an in-universe artifact that feels authentic to the game's entire premise of kids playing pretend with deadly seriousness.

The digital extras round things out with four fellowship classes offering various combat bonuses, from the fire-slinging Necromancer Sorcerer to the gold-hoarding Rogue Assassin. But the physical goods are what keep this edition relevant years after the servers stopped mattering. Obsidian and South Park Studios created something that played like a lost episode of the show, and this Grand Wizard Edition treated the whole package with the same loving irreverence. For PS3 collectors especially, this sits in that sweet spot of late-generation gems that people are starting to hunt for again.
