Obsidian did the impossible and made a South Park game that fans, critics, and RPG purists all agreed on. The South Park: The Stick of Truth Grand Wizard Edition on PlayStation 3 commemorates that miracle with a collector's package worthy of the Grand Wizard himself.

Front and center is the Kidrobot Grand Wizard Cartman 6-inch figurine, a vinyl figure with the kind of clean lines and solid weight that Kidrobot built its reputation on. It captures Cartman mid-power-trip, staff in hand, ready to command his army of fourth graders into battle. Whether it lives on your gaming shelf or your designer toy shelf, it fits. That's the mark of a great crossover collectible. The hand-drawn map of the South Park Kingdom looks like it was scrawled during detention, which means it looks exactly right. It's a piece of in-universe ephemera that nails the game's whole bit about kids turning a quiet Colorado town into a fantasy battlefield.

Four bonus fellowship classes are included digitally, giving you the Necromancer Sorcerer, Ranger Elf, Rogue Assassin, and Holy Defender, each with their own combat perks. They added flavor to the campaign, but it's the Kidrobot figure and map that give this edition its collector credibility. The PS3 was winding down when Stick of Truth landed, making this one of the console's last great collector's editions. It's the kind of late-cycle release that tends to have lower print numbers and higher long-term demand. A fitting tribute to a game that turned construction paper animation into one of the best RPGs of its generation.
