Return to Monkey Island Collector's Edition (Switch)

NINTENDO SWITCH
Return to Monkey Island Collector's Edition (Switch)
Limited Run Games

Some of us never stopped thinking about Monkey Island. The Return to Monkey Island Collector's Edition for Nintendo Switch brings Guybrush Threepwood back in physical form, and it comes loaded with the kind of extras that make a shelf sing. Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman wrote you a letter. An actual letter. If that doesn't hit different for anyone who grew up with insult sword fighting and rubber chickens with pulleys, nothing will.

The box itself houses the original soundtrack, a scrapbook full of pirate nostalgia, and Lechuck's Onboarding Pamphlet, which is exactly the kind of absurd in-universe artifact this series deserves. There's a collectible golden key exclusive to the Switch version, an 18" x 24" poster for the wall, a Chum's Lure enamel pin, and a blowfish stressball for when you're stuck on a puzzle you refuse to Google. The booklet rounds things out with a nice tactile finish.

This is one of those editions where every piece feels like it belongs. Not filler, not fluff. Just a well-curated tribute to one of adventure gaming's most beloved franchises, wrapped up in a package that earns its real estate on your shelf.
