Three hundred. That's not a typo, and it's not per platform. It's total. The Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Signature Edition on Playstation 3 is one of the rarest PS3 collector's editions in existence, produced in a run of just 300 units across all platforms and available only through pre-order on the official online store.

This edition builds on everything in the Collector's Edition, then pushes into genuinely rarefied territory. The large cardboard box with slip cover houses the full Special Edition contents, the McFarlane Toys Prismere Troll figure, the signed Ken Rolston lithograph, and then adds what makes this tier untouchable. The Prismere Troll figure in the Signature Edition is personally signed by either Curt Schilling, R.A. Salvatore, or Todd McFarlane. And you get a limited edition Todd McFarlane sketch screen-print, individually numbered out of 300.

We're talking about original artwork from one of the most influential comic artists of a generation, numbered and packed into a video game edition. That's not standard collector fare. That's art collecting and game collecting intersecting in a way that almost never happens.

The production run is so small that most collectors will never see one in person, let alone have the chance to own one. For the PS3 collector who wants something that transcends the usual statue-and-artbook formula, the Signature Edition isn't just rare. It's historically significant.
