Steel and art go together better than most people realize, and the Brink SteelBook Edition on Xbox 360 proves the point. This is the version of Splash Damage's ambitious team shooter that traded the standard plastic case for a proper steelbook, branded with Brink's distinctive art style and built to last longer than any jewel case ever could. Inside, you got a special edition art cover that replaced the standard insert, giving you two display options depending on your mood.

Then there was the voucher code offering an exclusive discount on either RAGE or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which in hindsight might be the most valuable slip of paper Bethesda ever tucked into a box. The steelbook itself is the reason collectors seek this one out. Brink's visual identity was always stronger than its reputation suggested, all clean lines, bold color, and dystopian flair, and that translates beautifully to metal.

On a shelf full of 360 cases, a steelbook catches light and attention in ways plastic never will. The voucher is long expired, obviously, but as a historical artifact of Bethesda's cross-promotional strategy during one of gaming's biggest years, it's a neat inclusion. For steelbook collectors working through the 360 library, this is one of the less common finds.

Brink got three distinct retail editions on 360, and the SteelBook sits comfortably as the most display-worthy of the bunch.
