Capcom went full bioweapon with this one. The Resident Evil 6 Collector's Edition on Xbox 360 is one of those mid-gen releases that tried to pack an entire outbreak's worth of collectibles into a single box, and honestly, it pulled it off. The zombie steelbook alone sets the tone, but the real threat to your wallet is everything around it.

That Ivy University hoodie from Tall Oaks is the kind of deep-cut merch that only RE fans would recognize. One size fits all, which means it fits nobody perfectly, but that's beside the point. You're not wearing this to the gym. You're wearing it to silently identify yourself to other collectors in the wild. The hardback artbook dives into the concept art from a game that threw three intertwining campaigns at us, and seeing those early designs gives you an appreciation for the chaos Capcom was orchestrating behind the scenes.

Then there are the RE6 forces emblems. These aren't cheap pins from a convention floor. We're talking high quality enamelled zinc alloy insignias for each of the three protagonist squads, mounted in a limited numbered frame. Each one authenticated with signatures from Senior Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. That framed set is basically a letter of provenance for your collection, the kind of piece that makes people stop and ask questions when they see your shelf.

The Avatar DLC code is a nice little time capsule of the Xbox 360 era, when we actually cared about dressing up our digital avatars. It won't change your life, but it completes the package. This was the console wars generation doing collector's editions right, when publishers still believed physical goods sold games. They weren't wrong.
