Umbrella Corporation's HR department apparently hands out embroidered patches, and now you can have yours. The Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Special Edition on Xbox 360 wraps the squad-based survival shooter in a stylized foil sleeve and backs it up with two fabric patches: one for Umbrella Security and one for the Spec Ops uniform. Eight in-game weapons round out the package via DLC.

The patches are the real draw here. Embroidered, properly weighted, and designed to look like genuine military-spec insignia, they're the kind of extras that work on a jacket, a display board, or framed alongside the foil sleeve. Operation Raccoon City took the franchise in a radically different direction, dropping the solo horror for team-based tactical gameplay set during the fall of Raccoon City.

Love it or debate it, the game occupies a unique corner of the RE timeline, and this Special Edition leans into the militaristic identity that set it apart. The foil sleeve catches light in a way standard cases never could, giving this one an immediate visual pop on any shelf. For RE collectors working through every corner of the franchise's sprawling release history, this is one of those mid-tier editions that completes a section without demanding a second mortgage.

The patches especially have a way of showing up in collector displays long after the disc has been shelved, which says something about the staying power of well-made physical extras.
