There's something poetic about a game centered on destruction coming packaged with extras that make you want to preserve everything. Red Faction: Armageddon Collector's Edition on Xbox 360 delivered Volition's final chapter in the demolition-obsessed franchise with a bundle that felt appropriately explosive. The A3 poster is the centerpiece here, a full-sized piece of art that earns wall space in any game room.

Then you've got the Commando Pack DLC, which wasn't just a cosmetic throwaway. It included the Commando Outfit, Dual Wield Laser Pistols, and the Plasma Thrower, turning your character into a walking arsenal from the jump. Red Faction always understood that breaking things should feel satisfying, and these weapons leaned all the way into that philosophy.

The 360 era was peak physical media, when collector's editions still meant something tangible in your hands instead of a digital receipt. Armageddon might have been the series swan song, and that finality gives this CE a weight that only grows over time. A sealed copy with an intact poster and unused DLC codes is the kind of find that makes a trip to a retro game shop worth the drive.

For anyone building out a complete 360 collector's edition library, Red Faction: Armageddon belongs on the shelf right between your other Volition titles. It's a fitting send-off for a franchise that literally let us tear down buildings.
