Rayman Legends might be the most gorgeous 2D platformer of the PS3 generation, and it deserves better than a standard Blu-ray case. The Rayman Legends SteelBook Edition on Playstation 3 bundles the standard game with an empty G1 steelbook case, giving collectors the option to display or store the disc however they see fit.

This edition was a retail exclusive split between HMV in the United Kingdom and Micromania in France, which makes it a distinctly European collectible with limited availability outside those markets. Regional exclusives like this tend to fly under the radar at launch and then become quietly difficult to track down years later, especially when the retailers themselves no longer exist in the same form. HMV's turbulent history alone adds a layer of collector interest to anything that was exclusive to their shelves.

The steelbook itself is the draw here. Rayman's art style translates beautifully to metal, and a clean G1 case featuring that hand-painted aesthetic is the kind of thing steelbook collectors actively seek out. It's compact, it's displayable, and it represents one of Ubisoft's most purely joyful games from an era when disc-based platformers were already becoming rare. If you collect steelbooks or platformers, this checks both boxes with style.
