Rainbow Skies Collector's Edition

Turn-based RPG comfort food, served in a collector's package. The Rainbow Skies Collector's Edition on PlayStation 4 is the follow-up to Rainbow Moon from the same developers, and it arrives with everything our role-playing hearts could want: vibrant worlds, monster taming, dungeon crawling, and a story that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Damion's failed monster tamer exam sets the tone perfectly. After a hangover ruins his final examination and he accidentally destroys the entire monster compound, things spiral into an adventure involving rival superpowers and unlikely friendships. It's charming in that specific JRPG-adjacent way where the stakes keep rising but the humor never disappears. Turn-based battles let you execute devastating combo attacks, and the monster breeding system adds a layer of party customization that can consume dozens of hours on its own.
The sheer volume of content here is staggering. Side quests, mini-games including a turn-based fishing system, hidden treasures, and cross-save support across PS4, PS3, and PS Vita mean you're looking at potentially hundreds of hours. For collectors, this PS4 physical edition represents a niche RPG from a small studio that built a dedicated following. These are the kinds of titles that don't get massive print runs, and the collector's edition packaging gives it the shelf presence that the game's colorful art style deserves. If you missed it during release, your collection is the poorer for it.
