Prinny Can I Really Be the Hero? (Hero to the Rescue Set)
NIS America2/17/2009Americas

You get a plushie. A Prinny plushie. The Hero to the Rescue Set of Prinny Can I Really Be the Hero? for PSP is a loose bundle that takes the Premium Box Set and adds a blue Prinny PSP pouch and a stuffed Prinny that has no business being as charming as it is. This is where the collection goes from "I own the game" to "I live the Prinny life."

The PSP pouch is a functional piece of memorabilia that actually served a purpose back when people carried their handhelds around. The Prinny design makes it instantly recognizable to anyone in the know. But let's be honest, the plushie is the star. NIS America understood that their fanbase wanted tangible pieces of the Netherworld, and a stuffed penguin demon delivers on that in a way no art book ever could.

Like the Ultra Dessert Set above it, the Hero to the Rescue Set was sold exclusively through rosenqueen.com in the US. Limited distribution through a niche publisher's own storefront means these were produced for a very specific audience. As a loose bundle, keeping all the components together over the years has been the real challenge. The plushie ends up on a desk, the pouch goes into a drawer, and suddenly the "set" is scattered across a house.

Finding one complete is the collector's equivalent of reassembling the Prinnies after a rough stage. Worth the effort.
