ExZeus: The Complete Collection (Switch)
Limited Run Games

Giant robots versus alien invaders in a 3D arcade rail shooter. ExZeus: The Complete Collection for the Nintendo Switch collects both ExZeus titles on a single region-free physical cart, preserving a pair of action-focused shooters that most people never got the chance to play.

The original ExZeus threw players into the year 2102, piloting one of three experimental robots against an asteroid-born alien invasion. ExZeus 2 fused those three robots into the ultimate machine, Minos, and sent it against a new wave of interstellar threats. Both games deliver that pure arcade energy: waves of enemies, massive bosses with exploitable weak points, weapon upgrades, and environments spanning cityscapes, frozen mountains, deserts, and underwater stages. It's the kind of pick-up-and-play intensity that arcade cabinets were built for, now portable on a Switch cart.

This release sits outside the numbered Limited Run lineup, so it won't break a completionist's numbered set if missed. But that also makes it easier to overlook, which is exactly why physical copies matter for games like this. ExZeus isn't a franchise with mainstream recognition cushioning it against digital obscurity. A delisting, a licensing hiccup, a server shutdown, and these games could vanish from storefronts without anyone noticing until it's too late. The physical cart is insurance against that quiet disappearance.

For collectors who value breadth over just big names, this is the kind of release that adds genuine variety to a shelf. Not every game in a collection needs to be a household name. Sometimes the deep cuts are what make a library interesting.
