Some collector's editions try to impress you with scale. The Catherine Stray Sheep Edition on Playstation 3 tries to seduce you with a pizza box, and somehow it works. Atlus took one of the most bizarre, most adult games of the PS3 generation and packaged it like a late-night delivery from a bar you shouldn't have been at.

Catherine was already an outlier. A puzzle-platformer about infidelity, commitment anxiety, and literal nightmares, wrapped in anime aesthetics and released during the peak of the military shooter era. The Stray Sheep Edition leans all the way into the game's setting and personality. The two bar-themed coasters reference the Stray Sheep, the in-game watering hole where Vincent drowns his relationship problems between nightmare stages. These aren't generic branded coasters. They're props from the world itself, and they look right at home on any surface where questionable decisions are made.

The seductive Catherine poster is exactly what you'd expect and exactly what makes guests ask questions about your taste. The exclusive Rave T-shirt adds wearable flair for anyone bold enough to rep this game in public. And everything ships in a pizza delivery box, mimicking the in-game pizza orders that fuel Vincent's spiral. It's the kind of thematic commitment that transforms packaging into storytelling.

This edition is getting harder to find complete, and the coasters especially tend to vanish from resale listings. For PS3 collectors who appreciate when a publisher matches a game's weird energy with equally weird physical goods, the Stray Sheep Edition is basically required reading. Or required drinking, depending on the night.
