Zero Tolerance Origins for Sega Genesis is a retro cartridge release limited to 1,500 copies worldwide through Strictly Limited Games, bundling the original Zero Tolerance with the never-released sequel Zero Tolerance Underground. That's right, a game that literally never came out is now getting a physical Genesis cartridge. We live in incredible times.

Zero Tolerance was one of the earliest first-person shooters on the Mega Drive/Genesis, and in 1994, that was practically sorcery. The 16-bit hardware was never designed for this kind of thing, which makes the fact that it worked at all a genuine technical achievement. You're picking from five characters, each with different gear and specialties, fighting through colorful, complex levels spanning a spaceship under alien siege and the streets of Earth. The sequel, Underground, picks up exactly where the first game ends, sending you into subway tunnels to hunt down the remaining invaders. It was finished but never released until now.
