Turrican Anthology Vol. 2 (NSW)

The darker half of the Turrican saga, and arguably the more intense one. Turrican Anthology Vol. 2 for Nintendo Switch is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive, individually numbered and limited to 3,500 copies worldwide. This volume collects Turrican 3 from Amiga, Mega Turrican and Mega Turrican Director's Cut from Genesis/Mega Drive, Super Turrican 2 from SNES, and the exclusive Super Turrican 1 Score Attack mode.

These are the later entries, the ones where Factor 5 had mastered their craft and pushed every platform to its absolute limit. Mega Turrican's grappling beam mechanics alone influenced an entire generation of action platformers. Super Turrican 2 squeezed effects out of the SNES that developers swore couldn't be done. And the Director's Cut restores content that was cut from the original Mega Turrican release, giving us the complete vision for the first time.

The dual soundtrack option is a collector's dream. You can play with the original platform-specific game audio or switch to Chris Huelsbeck's remastered studio tracks. Two completely different ways to experience some of the greatest game music ever composed, on a single cartridge.

At 3,500 copies for a physical Switch release of games that defined European gaming in the early 90s, this won't linger. If Vol. 1 covers the origin story, Vol. 2 is where Turrican became legend.
