The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot turned Lara Croft from an icon into a person, and the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Art Book Packaging on Playstation 4 is the version that respects both the game and the artistry behind it.

Front and center is the artbook featuring exclusive concept art that never made it into any other release. This is where you see the bones of the game. Character designs that were explored and abandoned. Environmental concepts for Yamatai that show just how much iteration went into building a world that felt simultaneously beautiful and threatening. It's the kind of behind-the-curtain material that collectors and aspiring developers obsess over equally.

The digital comic "The Beginning" and the digital mini artbook add narrative context and additional visual material that flesh out the world beyond the main campaign. The Tomb of the Lost Adventurer DLC drops you into extra exploration content, because a Tomb Raider edition without a bonus tomb would be missing the point entirely.

Six character skins give Lara a wardrobe refresh: Aviatrix, Demolition, Guerrilla, Hunter, Mountaineer, and Sure-Shot. They're cosmetic, but they change the visual tone of the game enough to make a second playthrough feel distinct.

The PS4 generation was when "definitive edition" actually meant something. Better textures, improved lighting, refined character models. This Art Book Packaging version took that upgrade and paired it with physical goods that honored the development process. It's the collector's cut of a game that redefined one of gaming's most important franchises. If it's not on your shelf yet, it probably should be.
