Sometimes a physical release doesn't need to bury you in extras to earn its spot. The Last Spell for PlayStation 5 delivers the game on disc with a manual and reversible cover, and for a title this good, that's enough.

The Last Spell is a tactical RPG roguelite that puts you in command of humanity's last defenders, holding the line against endless waves of monsters while mages desperately try to cast the spell that will end magic forever. It's XCOM meets tower defense meets "one more run" addiction, wrapped in gorgeous pixel art that hits harder than it has any right to. The night phases are frantic, the day phases are strategic, and every failed run teaches you something new.

Having this on a PS5 disc means you own it. No delisting, no storefront closure, no subscription rotation. The manual is a welcome throwback, and the reversible cover lets you pick your preferred display art. For collectors who value clean, deliberate physical releases over boxes stuffed with trinkets, this is exactly what it should be. The game speaks for itself.
