Day-one buyers and pre-order faithful got rewarded with this one. The King of Fighters XIII First Edition on Xbox 360 bundled a sealed 4-CD soundtrack with the standard game, automatically upgrading early adopters to a version that's now distinctly harder to find than the base release.

KOF XIII is widely considered one of the best-looking 2D fighters ever made, with hand-drawn sprites that still hold up beautifully. The 4-CD soundtrack is a fitting companion, preserving a score that pulses with the energy of SNK's legendary fighting game heritage. Four discs of music is generous by any standard, and for a fighting game soundtrack, it's a deep cut into the genre's musical legacy.

The automatic upgrade model means there was no special box or separate SKU to hunt. If you pre-ordered or bought on launch day, you got the First Edition. That sounds accessible, but here's the thing: the window was brief, the 360 fighting game community was a specific crowd, and sealed copies with the soundtrack still attached are increasingly uncommon. For fighting game collectors building out a 360 library, this First Edition is the definitive version. The one that sounds as good as it looks.
