Limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, and dressed up like an NES game. Switch Limited Run #31: Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Classic Edition for the Nintendo Switch is a love letter wrapped inside a love letter, a retro-styled game packaged in retro-styled packaging, and the whole thing is region free.

The Classic Edition box is designed to match the dimensions of an original NES game box, complete with metallic silver ink and spot gloss highlights. Underneath the removable Switch-branded slipcover sits a retro NES-style case sleeve that transforms this into a display piece capable of living on your NES shelf or your Switch shelf with equal credibility. Inside, you get the game sealed in a standard Switch case with interior art and a full-color manual, a reversible 18x24 inch poster, and a physical CD soundtrack.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon itself channels classic Castlevania so faithfully that it feels like a lost NES cartridge brought forward in time. Koji Igarashi's spiritual successor to the franchise he helped define plays beautifully, and this Classic Edition wraps it in the kind of presentation that makes collectors lose their composure. With only 3,000 units produced and a strict one-per-customer limit at launch, finding one of these sealed in the wild has become increasingly difficult. The scarcity is real, the craftsmanship is visible, and the NES-style packaging hits a nostalgia frequency that's almost unfair.
