Sometimes the best rebellion comes on the back of a llama. SuperEpic: The Entertainment War Limited Edition on Nintendo Switch is a GamesRocket and Strictly Limited Games exclusive, individually numbered and limited to 500 copies worldwide. This Metroidvania satirizes the gaming industry so accurately it practically counts as documentary.

Set in 2084, SuperEpic imagines a world where one greedy corporation has swallowed every game studio and replaced genuine fun with micro-transaction mind control. Tan Tan the raccoon and his faithful llama Ola aren't having it. The gameplay is fast, nonlinear, and packed with combo-based combat across a huge interconnected map. Gorgeous 16/32-bit cartoon sprites give it the kind of visual character that screenshot collectors live for, and the RPG weapon and armor upgrade system adds genuine depth. Multiple endings and an unlockable roguelite mode mean you'll keep coming back.

The Switch version is the portable way to carry this little gem of anti-corporate defiance. You get the officially licensed Nintendo Switch cartridge and a game manual, all individually numbered. At 500 copies, it's not the rarest thing on your shelf, but it's getting there. There's something fitting about a game that skewers predatory gaming practices existing only as a carefully numbered physical release. The irony is delicious. For Switch collectors who appreciate games with a sharp tongue and sharper gameplay, this one belongs in the rotation.
