Sonic and the Secret Rings (Only at Target Edition)

Sonic's been on a long, strange journey since the Genesis days, and this particular pit stop is worth remembering. The Sonic and the Secret Rings Only at Target Edition for Wii bundled the game with an interactive Comic Book DVD, making it a Target-exclusive package that most collectors walked right past in 2007.
The comic DVD is the real draw here. It's a standalone disc that brings the Secret Rings storyline to life in a format that sits somewhere between bonus feature and genuine collectible. Target exclusives from the Wii era occupy this weird liminal space, mass-produced enough that they weren't marketed as "limited" but scarce enough now that finding a complete copy takes actual effort. The red bullseye sticker on the shrinkwrap was basically a timestamp for a very specific retail moment.
For Sonic collectors especially, this is one of those console-era variants that rounds out a display shelf nicely. The Wii library is deep with oddball editions like this, and the ones tied to specific retailers are always the first to vanish from the secondary market. If you spot one with the DVD still sealed inside, that's the version you want.
