The Saints Row IV Super Dangerous WAD WAD Edition on PC was listed with a full-size replica Dubstep Gun, a full day of spy training, a trip to space with Virgin Galactic, a year's membership to the E25 Super Car Club, a Lamborghini Gallardo, plastic surgery of the buyer's choice, a personal shopper experience, seven nights at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC, a hostage rescue experience, a brand new Toyota Prius with a year of insurance, and seven nights in the top Royal Suite at the Burj Al-Arab.

Volition priced this at a cool million and essentially dared someone to buy it. It was part marketing stunt, part Guinness World Record bid for the most expensive special edition ever made. Whether anyone actually pulled the trigger is beside the point.

The WAD WAD Edition exists as a monument to how far a studio will go when they've completely abandoned restraint. For collectors, it's a piece of gaming lore, the moment a special edition stopped being a product and became performance art.
