Rage (SteelBook Edition)

Steel and nothing else. The Rage SteelBook Edition on PC is a straightforward package: a generic Rage-themed SteelBook bundled alongside the standard edition of the game. No DLC codes, no art books, no extras beyond the metal case itself.

It launched in Germany and the UK in October 2011 and was only available through GAME in France or select Spanish stores as a pre-order bonus for the standard game. The PC version comes in G1 size, which is the smaller SteelBook format compared to the G2 used for PS3 copies. For SteelBook collectors, that distinction matters when you're building a uniform display.

The appeal here is singular and honest: you either collect SteelBooks or you don't. If you do, a Rage G1 SteelBook exclusive to French and Spanish retail pre-orders represents exactly the kind of limited, region-locked variant that makes a collection interesting. These weren't produced in massive quantities, they weren't widely advertised, and they weren't available through any major online storefront.

They exist because someone walked into the right store at the right time. That's the kind of provenance that collectors live for.
