PowerSlave Collector's Edition (PC)

Egyptian mythology, a first-person arsenal, and a labyrinth of traps that would make the pharaohs proud. PowerSlave Collector's Edition for PC resurrects Lobotomy Software's cult classic shooter in a physical package built around a USB drive that feels appropriately ancient and futuristic at the same time. The collector's edition box houses the game alongside its original soundtrack, a double-sided 18"x24" poster, and a set of epoxy magnets that let you stake your claim on any magnetic surface in your home.
PowerSlave (known as Exhumed in PAL regions) occupied a strange and wonderful space in the mid-'90s FPS landscape, running on Lobotomy's proprietary SlaveDriver engine while console ports on Saturn and PlayStation earned their own devoted followings. The PC version carries its own legacy, and having it on a dedicated USB drive is the kind of tactile, purposeful packaging that digital storefronts will never replicate. This is a shooter that critics underrated and players never forgot.
The level design rewarded exploration in ways that its more famous contemporaries rarely attempted, layering Metroidvania-style progression into a genre that was still figuring out what it could be. For PC collectors who value the obscure over the obvious, PowerSlave on your shelf says more about your taste than any blockbuster franchise ever could.
