Medal of Honor: Warfighter (Future Shop Steelbook Edition)

Another entry from Future Shop Canada's steelbook program, and another piece of retail history that vanished when the chain did. The Medal of Honor: Warfighter Future Shop Steelbook Edition on PC bundled an empty G2-sized steelbook alongside the standard game, available exclusively through Future Shop's pre-order program.

The G2 sizing is worth noting. It's the larger steelbook format, giving the Warfighter artwork more room to breathe on the metal surface. Medal of Honor's visual identity, muted earth tones and tactical realism, tends to translate well to steelbook treatments, and the Future Shop exclusive carries design elements you won't find on any other version.

With Future Shop absorbed into Best Buy Canada back in 2015, these retailer-specific bonuses became frozen in time. No reprints, no restocks. The PC version is especially scarce since physical PC games were already a declining market by late 2012, and the overlap between "PC gamer," "pre-orders at Future Shop," and "keeps the steelbook" is a vanishingly small group.

For steelbook hunters or Medal of Honor variant collectors, this is the kind of quiet find that fills a very specific hole in a very specific collection. It doesn't need to be flashy. It just needs to exist, and fewer of them do with each passing year.
