Panorama Cotton Collector's Edition (PS5)
Strictly Limited Games

In 1994, a team of developers looked at the Mega Drive and said, "We can make this thing do pseudo-3D." They weren't wrong. The Panorama Cotton Collector's Edition for PlayStation 5 is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive, individually numbered and limited to 800 copies worldwide. This is one of the rarest and most technically impressive cute 'em ups of the 16-bit era, now preserved on modern hardware in a collector's package worthy of its legacy.

Panorama Cotton took the series in a wildly ambitious direction, ditching the traditional side-scrolling format for an into-the-screen rail shooter that pushed Sega's hardware to places nobody thought it could go. The colorful palette makes every stage a visual treat, and flying through those pseudo-3D environments still feels thrilling decades later. Cotton's motivation remains perfectly on-brand: someone is burning Willows (her favorite candy), and that simply will not stand.

The collector's edition showcases a distinctly Japanese curatorial eye. The box contains the PS5 game with manual, a Natsume figure, Yunomi cup, window sticker, two lenticular cards, six postcards, an A2 poster, a Kakemono hanging scroll, and the original soundtrack. The Kakemono and lenticular cards are particularly striking, offering display pieces that feel genuinely special rather than like afterthoughts stuffed into a box.

At 800 copies, this sits in truly rare territory for a PS5 release. Panorama Cotton was already hard to find in its original Mega Drive form. This collector's edition gives us a legitimate way to own and display a piece of gaming history that most players only know from YouTube videos and import collector whispers.
