Day-one editions from the PS3 era have a way of becoming invisible. Everyone had them, nobody thought to preserve them, and years later they're harder to find complete than you'd expect. The Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition for PlayStation 3 is exactly that kind of release. It comes in a standard case with a DLC code for early multiplayer access to the U.S. Navy SEAL Tier 1 Sniper class and additional exclusive content.

The Limited Edition was the default first-run version. All pre-orders and release day purchases were automatically upgraded, which means the "standard" edition is actually harder to find for the initial production window. That inversion is a quirk of PS3-era distribution that collectors have learned to appreciate. The version everyone assumed was common is the one with the DLC insert, and an unused code makes it the complete package.

Medal of Honor Warfighter aimed for tactical authenticity in the multiplayer space, letting players operate as real-world Tier 1 units from around the globe. That early unlock of the SEAL sniper class gave Limited Edition buyers a head start in a game that took its military simulation seriously. The franchise was going toe-to-toe with Call of Duty and Battlefield during the most competitive era of military shooters on console.

For collectors, this is a building block. It's the base-level special edition that completes a Medal of Honor shelf alongside the rarer Military Edition and the Future Shop steelbook. Finding one with an intact, unused DLC code is the real challenge now. The disc works fine without it, but we both know that's not the point.
