Medal of Honor Limited Edition

Medal of Honor's 2010 reboot wanted to remind everyone that this franchise existed before the modern military shooter became a yearly ritual. The Medal of Honor Limited Edition on PlayStation 3 makes that argument convincingly by including a full HD remaster of Medal of Honor: Frontline, one of the most beloved entries in the original series. Having Frontline on a PS3 Blu-ray, remastered and playable alongside the new campaign, creates a bridge between eras that gives this edition genuine historical value.

It's a playable museum piece bundled with a modern shooter. The Limited Edition sweetens the deal with a roster of exclusive multiplayer content: the MP7 and M60 as exclusive weapons, a Special Ops character skin, the Assault Class Tier 1 Operator with visual distinction in multiplayer, and early access to the TOZ194 and 870MCS shotguns. Early access to the Battlefield 3 beta was the cherry on top for anyone plugged into EA's shooter ecosystem at the time.

What makes this edition interesting for collectors now is the Frontline remaster's exclusivity. This is one of the few ways to play the HD version, and as the PS3's disc library becomes the definitive archive of that generation, having a remastered PS2 classic embedded inside a limited edition release is the kind of hidden value that rewards patient collectors. The Medal of Honor Limited Edition isn't flashy, but it's quietly one of the smartest PS3 pickups for anyone who values playable history over shelf decorations.
