Legend of Wukong (Genesis / Mega Drive)

GENESIS
Legend of Wukong (Genesis / Mega Drive)
Strictly Limited Games

A thirteen-year-old boy accidentally steals a time machine and gets chased by demons through ancient China. That's the setup for Legend of Wukong on the Sega Genesis, and if that doesn't immediately sell you, we should probably check your pulse. This is a fresh physical cartridge release from Piko Interactive, region-free and ready to slot into any Genesis or Mega Drive.

Dr. Tang spent his entire career building a time machine, only for his careless young neighbor to stumble into the lab and vanish into the past with it. Now the kid's stuck centuries before his own birth, dodging hordes of fierce demons across six adventure-filled chapters while trying to retrieve the machine and get home. The game blends RPG exploration with exciting battle sequences, animated cutscenes, and the kind of quirky character writing that gives Genesis RPGs their unique flavor. A battery backup save function means you won't lose progress, which matters because this one has depth.

The physical package includes a region-free game cartridge, colored manual, and case with artwork. Clean, complete, and built for the collector who values a proper Genesis shelf. Legend of Wukong is one of those titles that circulated in import circles for years before getting a proper worldwide release, and having it as a legitimate cartridge with full packaging is the kind of thing that would've blown our minds at a swap meet in 1996. Your Genesis library has a Wukong-shaped gap in it. Time to fix that.
