Kawaii Deathu Desu Collector's Edition

PS VITA
Kawaii Deathu Desu Collector's Edition
East Asia SoftPrint: 1500

Supernatural idols harvesting souls from their own fans at live shows. We couldn't make this up if we tried. The Kawaii Deathu Desu Collector's Edition on PS Vita is a fast-paced beat 'em up where beings from the underworld have reincarnated as cute Japanese pop idols, and the throne of the underworld goes to whoever collects the most souls. The competition method of choice? Mowing down overzealous fans at concerts. It's as gloriously unhinged as it sounds.

The gameplay is brilliantly simple. Two buttons, rapid-fire action, and a scoring system that turns every show into an addictive high-score chase. Each idol has unique special abilities and a distinct playstyle, and unlockable outfits, gallery images, achievements, and music give completionists plenty to chase. Couch PvP mode means you can drag a friend into the chaos. The pixel art is crisp, the sound design punches hard, and three modes per show keep the replay value stacked.

For Vita collectors, Kawaii Deathu Desu in physical collector's edition form is pure shelf candy. It's weird, it's Japanese, it's a limited run on a dead console, and it has the kind of premise that makes people do a double-take. The Vita thrived on exactly this energy, games that existed nowhere else in physical form and wore their absurdity as a badge of honor. This is the one you pull out when someone says they've seen everything.
