The 90s called, and they sent a care package. The Jim Power: The Lost Dimension Special Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive limited to 1,000 individually numbered copies worldwide, bundling the retro run-and-gun revival with a box full of physical collectibles.

This collection brings both the never-released Genesis version and a completely new NES version of Jim Power to the Switch for the first time. The Genesis build was cancelled at the eleventh hour back in the 90s. The NES version was developed from scratch by PIKO Interactive exclusively for this release. Together on one cartridge with modern quality-of-life features, they represent a 16-bit and 8-bit double feature of side-scrolling, jetpack-flying, alien-blasting action.

The Special Limited Edition contents lean hard into the game's arcade roots. Two CDs of Chris Huelsbeck's legendary soundtrack. Anaglyphic 3D glasses nodding to the original's parallax trickery. A double-sided A3 poster, a replica arcade flyer, a lenticular card, and a logo sticker. The collector's box and colorful game manual tie it all together into a package with genuine display presence.

On Switch, there's something fitting about having these retro gems in a portable format. The pick-up-and-play nature of Jim Power's stage-based design suits handheld sessions perfectly. At 1,000 copies, the Switch edition is more attainable than the PS4 run but still firmly in limited territory. For collectors who want retro authenticity wrapped in modern convenience, with a box of extras that'd make any 90s kid lose their mind, this is the one.
