id Anthology (Collection)

This isn't a collector's edition. It's a museum in a box. The id Anthology on PC gathered the complete works of id Software and wrapped them in a package that doubles as a history lesson.

Inside, you'll find The Book of id, a comprehensive volume detailing the studio's history, an id Anthology themed poster, a phone card, dog tags stamped with both the id and id Anthology logos, a pewter Cyberdemon miniature, a black t-shirt with the Anthology logo, and Doom comic number one. The pewter Cyberdemon alone justifies shelf space. It's a miniature of one of gaming's most iconic enemies, rendered in metal, from the studio that created it.

The Doom comic is another standout, a gloriously unhinged piece of 90s gaming culture that's become a meme and a collectible in its own right. id Software built the FPS genre from the ground up, from Wolfenstein to Commander Keen to Doom to Quake, and this Anthology preserves that entire lineage in one collection. The dog tags and phone card are pure 90s memorabilia.

Finding a complete set with the t-shirt still folded and the comic intact is a serious trophy for any PC gaming historian.
