Darius Cozmic Revelation (NSW)

Three Darius games walk onto one Switch cartridge, and two of them brought a friend. Darius Cozmic Revelation for Nintendo Switch is a Strictly Limited Games exclusive limited to 3,500 individually numbered copies worldwide, packing G-Darius HD, Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX+, and the Switch-exclusive bonus of Sagaia, the 1991 Game Boy version of Darius II.

G-Darius HD is the M2-developed high resolution port of one of the most celebrated transitions from 2D to 3D in shmup history. The capture mechanic and those legendary beam clashes still hold up as some of the most cinematic moments the genre has ever produced. Play it in HD or drop to the original arcade resolution for the purist experience. Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX+ extends the modern Dariusburst lineage with expanded content and the wide-screen spectacle the series became known for. And then there's Sagaia, a Game Boy curiosity that only Switch owners get, adding a charming piece of portable Darius history to the set.

That third game is genuinely the differentiator here. The Switch version gives collectors something the PS4 release simply cannot offer. For a franchise built on branching paths and hidden routes, it feels appropriate that the Switch version has its own exclusive zone. At 3,500 copies, the run is slightly more generous than its PS4 counterpart, but for a triple-game shmup package of this caliber, demand tends to swallow supply quickly.
