Vasara Collection (Nintendo Switch)

Two Japanese arcade classics on a single Switch cartridge, limited to 2,500 copies worldwide. Vasara Collection for Nintendo Switch delivers both Vasara and Vasara 2 in physical form through Strictly Limited Games, individually numbered and including a game manual. These shoot 'em ups had never been available on physical media worldwide before this release.

The gameplay is relentless and beautiful. Alternate-history feudal Japan, flying motorcycles loaded with firepower, melee combat woven into shmup mechanics. The Switch version includes the full feature set with Timeless Mode, 3D graphics, and four-player local multiplayer, making it the complete package for both solo score chasers and couch co-op sessions.

This is the standard edition, stripped down to the essentials. Cartridge, manual, numbered case. No extras, no padding. Sometimes that's exactly what we want. A clean physical copy of a game we can actually play, stored on media we actually own.

The 2,500-copy run is the largest of the Vasara physical releases, but context matters. That's still a tiny number for a Switch title, and the shmup collector community is dedicated and thorough. These numbered copies get absorbed steadily, and replacements don't materialize. If you want Vasara in your Switch library on cartridge, the math is simple. Grab it while you still can.
