This might be the most unhinged collector's edition ever produced, and it knows exactly what it's doing. The Catherine "Love is Over" Deluxe Edition on Playstation 3 forgoes the typical art books and figurines in favor of something far more personal: an "empty" t-shirt in Men's Large, a pair of Vincent's boxers in Men's Large, and a Catherine pillowcase in twin size. Yes, you read that correctly.

Atlus looked at their nightmarish puzzle-platformer about infidelity, commitment anxiety, and sheep-filled dreamscapes, and decided the collector's package should include underwear and a pillowcase featuring the titular temptress. And they were absolutely right. Catherine was already one of the PS3's most daring releases, a mature puzzle game from the Persona team that tackled adult themes with style and zero apology.

The "Love is Over" Deluxe Edition matches that energy perfectly. Every piece in this set is a conversation starter, and not a single one of those conversations will be comfortable. That's the point.

Finding this complete and unworn is the real collector's quest. The shirt, the boxers, the pillowcase, these are items designed to be used, which means sealed sets become exponentially harder to track down. For Atlus collectors especially, this Deluxe Edition represents the publisher at their most fearlessly weird.

You either display it with pride or you don't deserve it.
