This is where it all started. Breach & Clear on PlayStation Vita is Limited Run Games release number one. The very first title. The genesis. Every LRG collection in existence traces its lineage back to this cart, and only 1,500 copies were ever made.

Let that number settle in. Fifteen hundred copies of a tactical strategy game for a handheld that was already niche when this released. Breach & Clear is a squad-based military tactics title developed by Mighty Rabbit Studios, the same team that founded Limited Run Games as a way to get their own games into physical form. It was sold exclusively through the LRG website with no fanfare, no hype machine, just a small developer taking a chance on an idea that physical media still mattered.

This holds the record as the lowest physical production run for any PlayStation Vita game. It's also only the second Region 1 Vita release to ship without an ESRB rating, giving the packaging that distinctive clean look Vita collectors have come to associate with the rarest titles on the platform.

There's no limited edition box, no bonus art book, no collector's coin. Just a standard Vita case with a game inside. And somehow that makes it even more collectible. It's pure, unadorned history. The moment before limited physical releases became an industry, when it was just one studio wondering if anyone out there still wanted to hold their games. Turns out, we did.
