Capcom9/8/2011REGION 2

Fifteen years of survival horror, sealed in one box, exclusive to a single Japanese storefront. The BioHazard 15th Anniversary Box from e-capcom is a PlayStation 3 collector's piece that traces the Resident Evil franchise from its origins to its modern reinvention. Inside you'll find physical copies of Resident Evil Director's Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 on PS1 discs, plus the Resident Evil Revival Selection on PS3.

The soundtracks for Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica arrive on separate discs, and a pin and sticker set rounds out the commemorative extras. There's even a spacer designed to hold your copy of Resident Evil 5, completing the collection on your shelf. The e-capcom exclusivity makes this one genuinely rare outside Japan.

The store didn't ship internationally, meaning every copy that exists in Western collections traveled through importers or secondhand channels. A word of caution for region-conscious collectors: the PS3 titles are region-free, but the PS1 classics retain their original Japanese region locks. That's part of the charm, though.

This isn't a convenience product. It's an archive. Holding those PS1 cases alongside PS3 Blu-rays in a single branded box is a physical timeline of one of gaming's most important franchises.

For Resident Evil collectors, this is the Japanese holy grail that ties the entire classic era together.
