Rocksteady built the greatest Batman game ever made, and this edition gave it the full Gotham treatment. The Batman: Arkham City SteelBook Edition on Playstation 3 packed a premium metal case alongside the Joker Carnival Challenge Map DLC, the 70's Batsuit skin DLC, and the Batman: Under the Red Hood Blu-Ray. Where some SteelBook editions offer just the case, this one loaded the trunk.

The Under the Red Hood Blu-Ray is the standout inclusion. It's one of DC's strongest animated films, a dark, emotionally charged story about Jason Todd's return that pairs thematically with Arkham City's own exploration of Batman's complicated relationship with his allies and enemies. Having an animated film bundled with a game creates a multimedia Batman experience that rewards an evening of full immersion.

The Joker Carnival Challenge Map is pure chaotic fun, a combat arena dripping with Clown Prince aesthetic that gives you a reason to keep returning to Arkham City's phenomenal fighting system. The 70's Batsuit skin is a collector's delight, wrapping the modern Batman in retro spandex and reminding us just how far the character's visual identity has evolved. It's campy, it's fantastic, and it looks absurd in the best possible way during serious cutscenes.

The SteelBook itself provides the premium housing this package deserves. It sits on a shelf with authority, and the metallic finish catches light in a way that demands attention. This particular edition, with its combination of DLC, physical media, and the steel case, represents one of the more complete Arkham City packages from the PS3 era. Batman collectors, this is the version that earns its display space.
