If you're going to build a monument to the French Revolution, you'd better include the cathedral. The Assassin's Creed: Unity Notre Dame Edition on PC anchors itself around a stunning 39.5cm figurine of Arno perched on a gargoyle, surveying Paris from the heights of its most iconic landmark.

This edition understood the assignment. The Arno figurine captures everything that made Unity's protagonist visually distinct from his predecessors. Standing nearly 40 centimeters tall on that gargoyle perch, it's a display piece that commands attention without screaming for it. The high-quality artbook dives into the concept art that shaped revolutionary Paris, from cobblestone streets to rooftop vistas, offering a window into how Ubisoft rebuilt an entire city from historical records. Two lithographs in a stylized envelope add a touch of fine art sensibility, while the official soundtrack lets you carry the atmosphere beyond the screen. On the digital side, two bonus missions, The Chemical Revolution and The American Prisoner, extend the campaign by 45 minutes of historically grounded storytelling.

The Notre Dame Edition sits in a fascinating place for collectors now. Notre-Dame de Paris itself suffered a devastating fire in 2019, and Ubisoft's meticulous digital recreation became part of the restoration conversation. A figurine of Arno standing on that cathedral's gargoyle carries a weight that nobody could have predicted at launch. For PC collectors who care about shelf presence with genuine historical resonance, this edition tells a story that goes far beyond the game itself.
