Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (Collector's Edition)
EA9/16/2008

A 128-page graphic novel, an exclusive Games Workshop miniature, and a 224-page art book. Mythic Entertainment wasn't playing around. The Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Collector's Edition for PC is a monument to a time when MMO launches were events, and the collector's packaging reflected that ambition.

The Prelude to War graphic novel was created exclusively for this edition, giving lore-hungry fans a bridge into the game's conflict that you simply couldn't get anywhere else. That Games Workshop miniature of Grumlok and Gazbag is the real showstopper, though. An officially produced tabletop figure packed inside a video game box, connecting two hobbies that share more DNA than either community likes to admit.

The art book at 224 pages is genuinely hefty, the kind of thing that sits on a coffee table and starts conversations. In-game, you got the Librams of Insight item, 12 exclusive quests, a unique character title, and customization options locked behind this edition. The game itself may have faded from the MMO landscape, but that only makes this collector's edition more interesting as a time capsule.

We don't get crossover packages like this anymore, where tabletop and digital gaming collide in a single box. If you collect MMO special editions or Warhammer memorabilia, this one checks both lists simultaneously.
