The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered

The Legend of Legacy is one of those JRPGs that never got the attention it deserved. The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch is here to correct that, wrapping a cult-favorite 3DS original in a collector's package dense enough to make up for lost time.

This set goes deep. The "Chronicles of Avalon" 55+ page art book is the headliner, a proper hardcover exploration of the game's world and character designs. The Masashi Hamauzu original soundtrack brings the composer's gorgeous, atmospheric score into your hands on physical media. If that name sounds familiar, it should. Hamauzu's work on Final Fantasy XIII and SaGa Frontier 2 speaks for itself.

The "War of the Elementalists" cloth poster measures 24" by 17" and looks like something pulled straight from Avalon itself. Cloth posters remain one of the best physical collectibles a limited edition can include, and this one earns its wall space. The "Seekers of the Graal" art card set adds even more visual material to a package that clearly prioritizes the game's stunning aesthetic.

Switch collectors have a soft spot for remastered JRPGs done right, and The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered fits that niche perfectly. It's the kind of game that builds a following slowly but permanently. This edition was made for the people who were already fans and for the ones about to become converts.
