The Binding of Isaac Unholy Edition

The Binding of Isaac Unholy Edition

Edmund McMillen's twisted little roguelike about a crying child in a basement became one of the most important indie games of the early 2010s. The Binding of Isaac Unholy Edition for PC packaged that experience with the kind of extras that indie collectors lose sleep over. You get a DRM-free version of the game and a Steam key, covering both camps of the PC ownership debate.

The soundtrack is included, and if you've spent any time in Isaac's basement, you know those tracks are permanently lodged in your brain. A poster and a 40-page "devzine" complete the set. That devzine is the real treasure here, offering a window into McMillen's design process during a period when he was reshaping what indie games could be.

Physical Isaac merchandise from this early era, before Rebirth and Repentance expanded the franchise into a massive ecosystem, carries a certain origin-story energy. This is the version that started it all, packaged with care before anyone knew just how far down that basement would go. For indie game collectors, the Unholy Edition is a foundational piece.
