Ray’z Arcade Chronology Limited Edition (PS4)

PLAYSTATION 4
Ray’z Arcade Chronology Limited Edition (PS4)
Strictly Limited Games

Three games that redefined what a vertical shooter could be, all on one PS4 disc. The Ray'z Arcade Chronology Limited Edition for PlayStation 4 delivers RayForce, RayStorm, and RayCrisis through a Strictly Limited Games exclusive run of 1,300 copies, each individually numbered and packed with a colorful manual.

Taito's Ray series pioneered the lock-on laser mechanic that let players target multiple enemies across two attack layers before unleashing a single devastating strike. It was elegant, it was intense, and it changed the way we thought about shmup design. RayForce brought the concept to life in 1994, RayStorm evolved it into stunning 3D polygon visuals in 1996, and RayCrisis closed the loop in 1998 with a prequel set inside the Con-Human supercomputer's neural network. The latter two titles include enhanced HD versions for this release.

The real bonus is R-Gear, the cancelled RayForce sequel. Its one-level prototype is included on the disc as an official release for the first time. It's a glimpse into a timeline where Taito kept pushing the 2D formula forward, and it's the kind of rarity that makes collectors' hearts beat faster.

This Limited Edition keeps things streamlined: the game, the manual, the exclusive cover. For PS4 shmup collectors who want the trilogy without the full collector's box treatment, this is clean, numbered, and carries serious weight on the shelf.
