Parasol Superstars - Limited Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Two Taito parasol games on one Switch cartridge is the kind of portable museum exhibit we didn't know we needed. The Parasol Superstars Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch collects Parasol Stars and the previously Japan-exclusive Spica Adventure into a single physical release that belongs in every Taito fan's collection.
Parasol Stars picks up where Bubble Bobble left off, transforming Bub and Bob into their human forms, Bubby and Bobby, and handing them magical parasols that serve as shields, weapons, and projectile launchers all at once. It's classic Taito platforming at its most inventive. Then there's Spica Adventure, where Nico and her trusty parasol take on toy-like enemies across vibrant galaxies in a side-scrolling romp that Western players simply couldn't access until now.
The Switch is already the go-to console for curated retro collections, and having both of these games in handheld form feels right. Couch co-op in Parasol Stars works beautifully in tabletop mode, and the modern quality-of-life enhancements keep everything accessible without sanding off the edges that gave these games their character.
For those of us building the definitive Switch library of physical Taito releases, Parasol Superstars fills a gap we've been staring at for too long. Two cult classics, one cartridge, zero regrets.
